What a beautiful house! If you won the lottery, it's probably the one you'd buy right? Set next to a fantastic sunken fire pit, the hot tub was used for a kid's party during the day and evening. Perfect for this tub with light-up sides
This beautiful Flamstead Barn was the setting for a teenagers birthday party. And for the following few days, the grown-ups got to enjoy the hot tub too! With fantastic views over farmland and beautiful countryside, who could ask for much more than soaking in the hot water, sipping a glass (non-breakable of course!) of wine
This was another from last year, and what a wonderful Amersham view! Who could resist soaking in the warm water of a hot tub, enjoying a glass of vino (in a plastic glass of course), staring out at that view across the hillside. We really enjoyed setting up at this wonderful home.
We've been gearing up for the 2019 season for a while now, but I thought it was about time to post again. It was super-busy over the end of last season, but now the weather has started to improve (I've even fired up my barbeque once!) everyone seems to be thinking about garden activities again. Over the next few posts, I'll show a few pictures that I just didn't have the opportunity to last year. Enjoy! To start, you can tell this was a while ago because the grass was brown! Remember that ? Beautiful house in Potten End, with a huge field ready for party fun!
We've had such a busy end to the year, there's been no time to update the blog I'm afraid. However, Christmas and New Year have now been and gone, and it's time to take a small breather! I'll try to get up to speed by posting a few of the wonderful set-ups we've done over the past couple of months. I'll start with one of the most recent - a lovely home in Hemel Hemsptead (Shendish) where the hot tub was set up all over Christmas and New Year. It was ideal for both family and friends to enjoy.
One lucky 11 year old girl is having a cracking hot tub birthday party. We set up in this huge marquee / gazebo, which had been decorated with tinsel, and they were just adding a massive line of LED lights in a heart shape. Set in a lovely garden in Kings Langley, it looked like they were expecting a fantastic day under the protection of the marquee, whether too sunny or if there's an outbreak of rain. I hope they have a fab time at the weekend!
All set up ready for a 21st birthday celebration! Tucked away in the corner of a quiet close, was this deceptively large garden. Not only that, but the craftsman owner, had built a number of outbuildings by hand, with fantastic detail in every piece. The triumph at the bottom of the garden, was an amazing party area, featuring a bar, pizza oven / open fire and a huge table, all under cover from the elements and next the massive BBQ. They hired the hot tub for their daughter's 21st birthday, returning home from University for the weekend. It was a lovely surprise for her, and her friends.
Just about to fill up a 4 person hot tub in Kensworth, and look at the views they have from the deck! OK, everything is a little brown from the weeks of sun and no rain, but it's still not too shabby :) What a beautiful home too. I didn't take a picture, but the kitchen was just to die for. It featured an incredible sunken wine cellar accessed by spiral staircase via a glass door in the floor. I believe the customer said it held 1400 bottles!
I always think hot tubs bring people together. One interesting thing which isn't often considered is that people usually (and sensibly) ban mobile phones from the tub. While some initially resent the idea, I always hear how a family have sat in the tub playing silly word games, or best friends have set the world to rights, or a couple have discussed their next holiday. This wasn't any of those things. Organised by Joe, this was a community of (mostly) teachers from Berkhamsted school, celebrating end of term! Setting up in a communal space, this was all about celebration. Everyone was included, even a passing resident who they hadn't been able to contact previously, was invited. It sounds like they had an amazing night! [caption id="attachment_277" align="alignright" width="169"] Berkhamsted School…
I'm not ever going to tire of visiting beautiful houses in Berkhamsted, particularly when you know the kids are going to have a wonderful birthday party. This family were going all out, so a bouncy castle was on its' way for delivery just after us! As usual, I ended up chatting endlessly and it was interesting to hear about their travels and living in Asia, followed by a return to Berkhamsted. A very different environment, but when you have a garden as beautiful as this, why would you ever leave?
