Fairy lit Hot Tub

Fairy lit Hot Tub

Uncategorized
If you think the photos of this hot tub set up look beautiful in this garden, you should have seen it in person. And so it should, when the customer is Director of Photography and all-round lighting genius Peter Rowe His garden is stunning, with light filtering through the gauze sides of the dome (solid are also available) and fairy lights strung up inside, the effect was a cozy outdoor party space. With everything set up next to the french windows, the dome gave a real sense of an extra room and made it a little warmer when darting from house to tub! Perfect for his daughter's 18th birthday party, adding something a bit special to the evening celebrations. Loved meeting these guys. Thanks so much for booking with us!  …

Fireworks and hot tubs

blog
No, this isn't my roof terrace but you know... ...it did seem like a good image to demonstrate fireworks night and hot tubs! Unfortunately, my experience of Saturday involved spending around 3 hours in the tub, relaxing and listening to music. I say unfortunately, because that's pretty tiring work, so when we got out to have a lie down for 10 minutes, that 10 minutes turned into a 2 hour snooze and we woke up at 7.15pm. aarrrgggghh! We jumped up, got dressed and raced to the display, only to see the first ones going off as we got close :( With nowhere to park nearby, we turned around and went home. Ho hum, still had a nice day.

Special Offers

blog
We've added a new Special Offers page to the site now too. November can be a little quiet leading up to Christmas, so we're giving some great deals to remind you that November is just chilly and boring. It doesn't matter if there's a bit of rain outside. Personally, I love the feeling of sitting in the warm water, with a light drizzle coming down at the same time. I watch the raindrops bouncing off the surface of the water while listening to some music on the mp3 speaker. OK, so it's chilly getting out, but with a quick dash into the house after, it's quickly forgotten!

Lad’s Afternoon in the hot tub

Lad’s Afternoon in the hot tub

blog
The weather is a little overcast, Friday night has left you jaded and Monday morning is still a long time away. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than soaking in one of our WickedTubs? Adam and Andrew enjoyed our hot tub and my guess is, that Sunday afternoon will be more of the same. There's no worries about looking after the tub constantly, just hire for when you know it'll be a good weekend, chilling with a few drinks and letting the bubbles massage away the pain!

Floating hot tub!

Floating hot tub!

blog
Fair play. I wish I'd thought of this - A floating hot tub that's heated by a wood stove and you pilot merrily down the river / canal / wherever the hell you want. It's an absolutely genius invention from a Dutch guy (where else?), Frank de Bruijn. The man is my new hero and I'd love to buy him a beer. It's beautiful in its' simplicity, made from wood, fibre glass and powered by a quiet electric motor, it's got everything you'd need. One person needs to stay sober to steer the thing I guess, but you'd have to draw straws to see who that unlucky person is. It looks like they have a couple of locations in the UK currently, one in Islington, London (hottugUK) and one on the…

Indoor Hot Tub

Indoor Hot Tub

blog
OK, so I'll 'fess up, this isn't one of ours. But doesn't it make you want an indoor tub? And a stone fireplace? And a few million quid for the house to put it in? Having said all that, what were they thinking with the safety rail? I mean, health and safety is all good but I'm pretty sure that the people it's supposed to protect (ie. kids) will be short enough to run right underneath that :) Ho hum, it's probably just jealousy I guess because I don't have a few million quid for the house (and what looks like a woodland to put it in) just lying around. Best I start saving my pennies or marrying into money. If your budget doesn't stretch quite that far either, give…

Great weekend

blog
So, the WickedTubs team were busy last week, setting up, filling and warming water ready for the weekend. We're looking forward to hearing how the parties have gone, and how much fun everyone has had. It's been perfect weather for it - chilly nights make the experience so much better, when the difference between the temperature outside and in the hot tub is so much more noticeable. There was no rain. Not that we mind it - in fact we rather like a light shower while relaxing with a glass of wine, in the hot water. Personally, I found time for a night out, for dinner at 'I Love Food' in Berkhamsted which is one of my favourites. Great food, and great atmosphere, and still found time to jump in the tub…

Photoshoot for the new website

We had a great photoshoot with the new Lay-Z-Spa dome, all set up in a beautiful location. You'll probably need a reasonable amount of room if you want to hire one of these from us, as they are 3m wide (and require additional space for assembly)! However, they do look stunning. They also have panels which can be attached on every side, which gives great protection from the weather, but also complete privacy if required. Weather conditions obviously need to be ok, without too much wind, but well worth it! [caption id="attachment_120" align="alignright" width="199"] Lay Z Spa hot tub and dome[/caption]

Hot Tubs

blog
For my own hot tub, I've just installed a shade sail to protect it from the elements permanently. I wish I had a bit more room for one of the official Lay-Z-Spa domes as they look completely awesome. However, as you can see, I don't really have the room to fit one in between 2 walls! The sail looks nice though, but I'm just praying the wind doesn't pull my house wall down when it catches. Hopefully, it's tightened up enough to stay straight and not flap around too much.
