Happy New Year 2019

Happy New Year 2019

blog
We've had such a busy end to the year, there's been no time to update the blog I'm afraid. However, Christmas and New Year have now been and gone, and it's time to take a small breather! I'll try to get up to speed by posting a few of the wonderful set-ups we've done over the past couple of months. I'll start with one of the most recent - a lovely home in Hemel Hemsptead (Shendish) where the hot tub was set up all over Christmas and New Year. It was ideal for both family and friends to enjoy.

Hot Tub Birthday Party

Hot Tub Birthday Party

blog
One lucky 11 year old girl is having a cracking hot tub birthday party. We set up in this huge marquee / gazebo, which had been decorated with tinsel, and they were just adding a massive line of LED lights in a heart shape. Set in a lovely garden in Kings Langley, it looked like they were expecting a fantastic day under the protection of the marquee, whether too sunny or if there's an outbreak of rain. I hope they have a fab time at the weekend!

21st birthday celebration

21st birthday celebration

blog
All set up ready for a 21st birthday celebration! Tucked away in the corner of a quiet close, was this deceptively large garden. Not only that, but the craftsman owner, had built a number of outbuildings by hand, with fantastic detail in every piece. The triumph at the bottom of the garden, was an amazing party area, featuring a bar, pizza oven / open fire and a huge table, all under cover from the elements and next the massive BBQ. They hired the hot tub for their daughter's 21st birthday, returning home from University for the weekend. It was a lovely surprise for her, and her friends.

Wonderful view in Kensworth

Wonderful view in Kensworth

blog
Just about to fill up a 4 person hot tub in Kensworth, and look at the views they have from the deck! OK, everything is a little brown from the weeks of sun and no rain, but it's still not too shabby :) What a beautiful home too. I didn't take a picture, but the kitchen was just to die for. It featured an incredible sunken wine cellar accessed by spiral staircase via a glass door in the floor. I believe the customer said it held 1400 bottles!

Berkhamsted – School’s out for Summer!

Berkhamsted – School’s out for Summer!

blog
I always think hot tubs bring people together. One interesting thing which isn't often considered is that people usually (and sensibly) ban mobile phones from the tub. While some initially resent the idea, I always hear how a family have sat in the tub playing silly word games, or best friends have set the world to rights, or a couple have discussed their next holiday. This wasn't any of those things. Organised by Joe, this was a community of (mostly) teachers from Berkhamsted school, celebrating end of term! Setting up in a communal space, this was all about celebration. Everyone was included, even a passing resident who they hadn't been able to contact previously, was invited. It sounds like they had an amazing night! [caption id="attachment_277" align="alignright" width="169"] Berkhamsted School…

Berkhamsted Birthday Party

Berkhamsted Birthday Party

blog
I'm not ever going to tire of visiting beautiful houses in Berkhamsted, particularly when you know the kids are going to have a wonderful birthday party. This family were going all out, so a bouncy castle was on its' way for delivery just after us! As usual, I ended up chatting endlessly and it was interesting to hear about their travels and living in Asia, followed by a return to Berkhamsted. A very different environment, but when you have a garden as beautiful as this, why would you ever leave? Filling up in Watford

Filling up in Watford

blog
As I sit watching hot tubs fill up, it occurred to me that I have a fairly unique and yet utterly useless talent. I can predict how long a hot tub will take to fill up based on the water pressure I can see coming out of the hose. I usually ask what time it finished filling when I collect, and I've discovered I'm usually right with my prediction to within around 20 minutes. So there, I told you - utterly useless to almost everyone. I can't speed it up, it just goes at the pace it goes and that's it. This particular house had no outdoor tap and had to connect to an upstairs bathroom mixer tap.┬áIf you're interested (and no-one really is), it took 3 1/2 hours in…

Architect designed home in Berkhamsted

I'm starting to love Berkhamsted more and more. And if I could spend every day setting up hot tubs and houses like this one, I'd be a very happy bunny! The owners had bought and demolished the house previously on the plot and commissioned this unbelievable place, which wouldn't have been out of place in the pages of a architectural design magazine. I can understand why they chose the location too, turn away from the house and you're facing the rolling hills. What an amazing spot to set up the hot tub on the patio, for their daughter's birthday party. I wish I'd taken photos of the bunting adorning the gazebo, but I forgot! It looked amazing.

One of the many things I love about my job is all the different people I get to meet and the beautiful gardens I get to see. Catriona and her fantastic garden in Berkhamsted didn't disappoint. Perfectly located and looked out on from a recently extended kitchen, her patio lent itself as the perfect location for the hot tub. Hired as party of her daughters' birthday celebrations, I heard someone stand at the door, see the tub and exclaim "You're the best Mum ever!!". Made me very happy! Another thing that makes mine a great job. Hot tub service to the stars

Hot tub service to the stars

blog, celebrity
It was a last minute call on a Saturday, but I still had a large hot tub available so I put down the glass of wine I was about to drink and got on the road. I'll confess, I didn't recognise the beautiful lady who answered the door at first, but she was lovely and chatty. During our talk, she mentioned that she was in the entertainment industry and on further discussion she mentioned she'd been in a band called 'Hearsay'! It was only Suzanne Shaw, also winner of Dancing on Ice! She was kind enough to pose for a selfie and send a photo of her with her partner and some friends enjoying the hot tub! I was surprised how down-to-earth she was and we talked about all sorts…
